Our dogs come from various backgrounds, each with their own journey that led them to our rescue. Whether they were abandoned, surrendered, or found as strays, every dog in our care has a story worth sharing. Meet Sparky

 

  • Male, 9 years old 60-65lbs
  • Neutered, Vaccinated
  • Short , Dark and Houndsome 🐾
  • Oldie but goodie
  • House trained
  • Leash trained, knows commands
  • Good with other senior dogs or dogs  with same calmer tempermant 

 

Sparky has quite the story to tell, his journey hasn't been easy. Sparky entered the shelter system at just 3 years old, he wound up at West La shelter where he was a Volunteer favorite . He was adopted but then Surrendered to South la Shelter because his owners had to move .New shelter , 2nd time Volunteer favorite. He was featured with the Pet foundation during his stay and was loved by all. Sparkys next milestone will be a hard one. Sparky was under the care of a "Rescue" called Woofy Acres. We don't know what he endured there , but Sparky was one of the " 11 Lucky ones out of the 115 dogs that were confiscated from that rescue with the majority of the dogs having to be euthanized because of being in such bad condition. Sparky was now at his Third shelter stay at Devore animal shelter . Six long years later from his first stay , he is now 9 years old and again put on the kill list . We seen Sparky and worked hard to get him out with a plan! Sparky , a black "pitbull" type dog , 3 time Euth list survivor . If that isn't the definition of Resilence, we don't know what is! Sparky went to board and train to brush up on his skills and is ready as ever after waiting 6 years for a forever home. Sparky has been described as one " Phenomenal" pup. He is crate trained , house trained and looking for love 💕

Meet Tundra

 

  • Male, 3 old 80 lbs
  • Neutered, Vaccinated
  • FLUFFY 🐾
  • LOVES ATTENTION
  • House trained
  • Leash trained, knows commands
  • Good with other dogs 

 

Tundra is a two time shelter survivor. He was originally on Euth list at Downey animal shelter and was adopted. A year later his "adopter" pushed him out of his car at another shelter in Downey "Seaaca"and left him in parking lot😡. We can't imagine he had a good life previously. But this big fluffball hasn't let that bring him down. Tundra is such a lover and and natural ⭐️ Star. He loves attention and loves Food . He is so eagerly searching for his "Person" and wants nothing more than to have a family who loves him. He's an active pup and would do good with someone who has a yard or who can take him on walks . Tundra is house trained and is good with other dogs and kids. He is a Romantic and ready to sweep you off your feet 💕

  • Loves to cuddle
  • House trained
  • Leash trained, loves treats 
  • Good with other dogs 

 

Mia was rescued from Baldwin Park animal shelter  where she was on Euth list . It's so hard to believe this sweet girl was going to loose her life for simply there not being enough space . Mia is a true sweetheart who loves to cuddle. She is a true Velcro Pitty and would make a great emotional support dog. She is there for comfort and to give you her unconditional love 💕 Mia gets excited for walks but her biggest secret is she is afraid of the dark 😯 shhhhhh. She loves getting treats and lounging around , a true princess . She has been looking for a home for over a year now this small girl has the biggest heart
